Charles Roger Johnson

KALONA ? Charles Roger Johnson, 85, of rural Wellman, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at his home.

    Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Inurnment will follow in the Wellman Public Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Shrine Children?s Hospitals, Wellman Ambulance or Hospice of Washington County.

    Mr. Johnson was born July 13, 1925, in Washington, the son of Charles Toppan and Tressa (Phillips) Johnson.  He married RoseMary Louis on Feb. 20, 1949, in Atlantic.
