Charles W. 'Bud' Droll

      Charles W. "Bud" Droll, 75, of Ainsworth, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Ainsworth Community Church in Ainsworth with the Rev. Scott Nesbitt officiating. Burial will be in Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 that evening. Memorials may be directed to the Ainsworth Volunteer Fire Department/ First Responders or the Ainsworth Opera House.

      Mr. Droll was born on June 8, 1929, in Richmond, to Lawrence C. and Agnes Julia (Wulf) Droll. On July 15, 1950, he married Alice Howell in Washington.
