Charlotte M. Garmoe, 90, of Mount Pleasant passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Savannah Heights in Mount Pleasant.

Charlotte was born on Feb. 28, 1932, at Good Hope, Ill., the daughter of Loy and Fawn (Cromer) Cox. She was united in marriage to Keith Garmoe on Dec. 1, 1972, in Burlington, Iowa. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, word puzzles and playing bingo. Charlotte was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Washington.

She is survived by her husband, Keith, of Mount Pleasant; her son, Duane (Kate) Rice of Elk River, Minn., her grandchildren, Andrew, Patrick, Megan and Abigail; her stepdaughter, Debbie Titus of Burlington; along with several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Loretta Whaley and Elaine Avery.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Elder David Hodge. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in her memory.
