Charmain Sue Bartlett, age 60, of West Chester, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident.

The family will be present to receive friends and celebrate Charmain’s life from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be left for Charmain’s family at www.jonesfh.com

Charmain was born August 1, 1963, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Ron and Margaret (Crawford) Miller. She attended school in Keota and Washington. Charmain was united in marriage to David Aldrich on July 1, 2017.

She worked as a CNA at the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington for 18 years and was currently working at Parkview Manor in Wellman, Iowa. Charmain enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and socializing with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, David Aldrich of West Chester, Iowa; son, Chris (Lindy) Leeper of Clarksville, Tennessee; son, Mitch Leeper and significant other Kristy of Palo, Iowa; daughter, Faith Wehr and significant other Jacob Johnson of Brighton, Iowa; son, Brady Bartlett of Fairfield, Iowa; her adopted children: Samuel Norris of Iowa City, Iowa; Patrick Nolte of Coralville, Iowa; Frank (Megan) Doherty of Stuart, Iowa; and Joshua Aldrich of Butte, Montana; numerous grandchildren; mother, Margaret Mangold of West Chester, Iowa; and one sister, Theresa Walker of West Chester, Iowa.

Charmain was preceded in death by her father; son, Ricky Aldrich; daughter, Cheyenne Aldrich; granddaughter, Katie Miranda; and son-in-law, Sean Wehr.
