Christine Marie Conry, age 60, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.
Celebration of life services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Spiritual Life Director Andrew Zuehlke officiating. General calling hours will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home and the family will receive friends following the service. Per her wishes, she wanted to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Paws and More Animal Shelter. Christine was born December 22, 1964, in Abington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Gerald Windell and Ann Marie (Spadafora) Sanders. Christine attended school in Wapello, Iowa. She was previously married to Jack Lemons and was later married to Clark “Dean” Conry.
Chris previously worked as a Head Cook at the Washington County Hospital and also at Crooked Creek Christian Camp. She worked as a cook at St. James Catholic School and worked at the United Presbyterian Home Day Care. She was a part-time receptionist at the Washington County Conservation Center.
She dearly loved her cats and was passionate about riding motorcycles and all things Betty Boop.
Chris is survived by her mom, Ann M. Thomas; son, Cameron Jiles Bright; grandson, Gunner Joseph Jiles Bright; and special friend, Mark Zickefoose.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Windell Sanders; and one brother, Gerald Wayne Sanders.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Washington County for their care. A special thanks to the staff of the United Presbyterian Home for all their help, especially Paula Brinning. Also friends for their support and help during this difficult time.
