CHRISTINE H. (RUSK) OGDEN

Libertyville

Christine H. (Rusk) Ogden, 70, of Libertyville, passed away Oct. 17, 2021. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Behner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fell Cemetery, Libertyville.

Memorials may be made to the Parkview Activities Department and mailed to Mike Ogden, 211 N. Main, Packwood, IA 52580.

Christine was born Dec. 17, 1950, in Fairfield, to John and Leona (Baker) Rusk. She married Jerry Lee Ogden on July 18, 1969, in Fairfield. He passed away Feb. 3, 2011.

Christine worked 13 years at Parkview Care Center as a transport aid and helped with the activities. She loved working at Parkview Care Center. Christine enjoyed watching the Iowa girls' basketball games and loved shopping. Most important was spending time with family and grandchildren. Christine loved traveling with her grandchildren. Christine was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Libertyville.

Christine will be missed by her children, Jodi (Glen) O'Dell of Ottumwa, Mike Ogden of Packwood and Jennifer (A.J. Elliot) of Iowa City; five living grandchildren, Linna (Dave) Matthews, Ryan O'Dell, Jason Johannes, Jamie Johannes and Julie (Wyatt) Case; two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Bryer Matthews; and three siblings, Marion Laughlin of Fairfield, Tom Rusk of Rome and Charlotte McLain of Libertyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leona; husband, Jerry; granddaughter, Jessica Johannes; sister, Joyce Snoor; and brother, Mitchell Rusk.
