Christopher L Chrisman, DOB 7/8/1970, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
He was a 1988 graduate of New London High School and attended the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program at Indian Hills Community College.
He served in the Burlington National Guard for four years in the 1990s, and helped with the 1993 flood control efforts.
He grew up at Harmony Bible Church and trusted Jesus at a young age. He lost his way at times, but God promises never to let us go. We look forward to seeing him again in glory someday.
Christopher worked many years at the M.t Pleasant Pizza Hut and currently worked as an office manager at South East Iowa Diesel Service, Fairfield.
His love was in music; he ran a DJ business for several years, partnered with other musicians to write songs and played bass guitar with a few local bands.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Chrisman and grandparents; Zola & Claudie Chrisman and Carl D & Etta Mae McCann.
Surviving relatives: Shirley Smith (JD), mother, Burlington; Heidi Gallup, sister, Mt. Pleasant; Emily Schindler (Dalton), niece, Cedar Rapids; Jacob Hicks (nephew) Nashville, TN; Amy Gound (Bob), step-sister (Jenna & Jordan), Warsaw, IL; Abby Ruebush (Karl), stepsister (Kade), Macomb, IL.
The memorial funeral service for Christopher will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Officiating are Pastor Dan Dingus & JD Smith. Inurnment will be done at a later date.
Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
