Chua N. Hua, 55, of Mount Pleasant passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.

Chua was born Nov. 25, 1963, in Vietnam, the daughter of Tee and Kim Johnson. She was united in marriage to An Hua on July 4, 1986. Chua worked at various jobs and was employed at Heatilator in Mount Pleasant for 16 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, puzzle books, cooking, gardening and fishing.

Chua is survived by her husband, An of Mount Pleasant; her two daughters, Tiffany (Mathew) Wilson and Jeniffer Hua, all of North Liberty; her grand-daughter, Ellie Wilson; her mother, Kim Johnson of Fort Madison; two sisters, Minh Kelley of West Burlington and Kim (Steve) Cole of Wilton; one brother, Cornel Johnson of California; and along with her family in Vietnam, Chanh, Hong, Doi, Lam, Xinh and Thua.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Hoi and Sterling.

No services will be held at this time and the Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant is assisting the family.
