Claire William 'Bill' Neil

         Claire William "Bill" Neil, 74, of Batavia, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

      A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.

      Open visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the family present from 6:30-8 p.m.

      Memorials may be directed to Hospice Inc. serving Wapello and Davis counties, Batavia Fire Department or Batavia United Methodist Church.

      Mr. Neil was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Rex and Mary Schreiner Neil. He married Pearl Curray June 5, 1953, at the Batavia United Methodist Church parsonage.
