Clara Mary Strabala

      RIVERSIDE-Clara Mary Strabala, 91, of Hills, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hills, with the Rev. Lou Leonhardt officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery in Riverside. Following services at the cemetery, a luncheon will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Hall in Hills. Visitation will be this evening, from 3 to 7, at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside, with a 7 p.m. Wake Service. Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospital or Regina High School in Iowa City.

      Mrs. Strabala was born on Aug. 8, 1912, in Marion County, to Stephen P. and Barbara A. (Schneider) Metz. On Oct. 14, 1936, she married Victor M. Strabala, in Bauer.
