CLARA PEARL YODER
Richland
Clara Pearl Yoder of Richland, Iowa, passed away February 12, 2022. She was born August 5, 1922 in Ollie, Iowa.to Roy Rex Follman and Ziola Marie Allsup Follman. Clara graduated from Ollie High School in 1939. She graduated from Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines, in1942. She worked
in Des Moines until her marriage to Cletus R. Yoder in 1945. They were married 66 years. They farmed for many years and moved into Richland in 1973. She resided at Karen Acres Care Center in Urbandale from December 2015 until her death. Clara was a housewife who worked during tax time for CPA once children were older. She also worked at the Post Office after she moved to town. She enjoyed cooking and making desserts as well as candy, especially divinity. Clara was avid reader, working word puzzles, making jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Richland for 67 years.
Clara is survived by her children, Pamela Holmes (Clarke) and Larry Yoder (Marsha); grandchildren, Krista (John P), Paul (Sarah) and Michael; eight great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter expected in July; as well as many extended family members.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus R. Yoder; parents, Rex and Marie Follman; sisters, Juanita Bragg and Jean James; and brother, Gordon Follman.
Memorials can be made to the Richland United Methodist church. Life celebration is being planned on her 100th birthday August 5, 2022, in the fellowship hall of the church. Gould Funeral Home is assisting the family.
