Clarence Allen Crowl, 96, of rural Wayland, Iowa, passed from this life on Friday, July 7, 2023, at his home.

Clarence was the son of Jess and Hannah (Schantz) Crowl. Clarence was born on June 25, 1927, in rural Henry County. He was united in marriage to Erna Hauck, Sept. 21, 1948, in Biebesheim, Germany. Clarence was one of four children.

He is survived by one brother, Donald; four children, Donald Crowl, Roswita Betts, Gary Crowl and Angela Woodson; five grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Brian, Ryan and Adam; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Erna; one grandson, Joshua Crowl; and two brothers, Darrell and Dean.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard.
