Clarence M. Vorhies January 1, 1912 - November 8, 2005

Clarence M. "Swede" Vorhies, 93, of Fairfield, died at 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005 at Neslon Nursing Home in Fairfield.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Satur-day, Nov. 12 at Behner Funeral Home in Fair-field, with the Rev. Marvin Robeck officiating. Burial will be in the Lockridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Augustana Lutheran Church or the Lockridge Cemetery Association.

      Survivors include three sons, Richard and his wife Patricia Vorhies of Lockridge, Dean Vorhies of Mt. Pleasant and Kevin Vorhies of Hot Springs, Ark.; and one brother, George Vorhies of Fairfield.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold, Grant and Lester.
