Clarence ?Pete? Arnold Payne

Clarence ?Pete? Arnold Payne, 87, of Fairfield, Iowa, died June 27th, 2009, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

He was born March 20th, 1922, in rural Batavia to Harry and Eliza Reinier Payne. He married Mildred Bernice Thomann on September 13th, 1944 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She preceded him in death in 1992.

His body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Bladensburg Christian Church with Pastor Larry Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bladensburg Christian Church, SunnyBrook Assisted Living of Fairfield, IA or donor?s choice.

Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, IA is in charge of arrangements.
