Clarence S. Stott

      Clarence S. Stott, 93, of Alameda, Calif., died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, in Alameda.

      A local memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the New London Community Hall. The funeral and burial will be held later this week in California.

      Mr. Stott was born June 18, 1907, at Oakville, the son of William and Minnie Anjel Stott. He was raised in Morning Sun and Mt. Union where he was very active in sports and continued interest in them all his life. He later moved to California.

      Survivors include five sons, Phillip and Louis Stott of Morning Sun, Wayne and James Stott of Mt. Pleasant and Derl Stott of Arkansas; a brother Archie Stott of New London; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his wives, his parents, a sister and two brothers.
