Claude J. Escher
KALONA-Claude J. Escher, 85, of Kalona, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a brief illness.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond, with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Richmond, with military rites accorded by Richmond AMVET Post No. 107. Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Homesafe at the University of Iowa.
