Clay E. Goode

Clay E. Goode, 91, of Washington, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials may be made to the Washington County Hospice or Halcyon House.

      Mr. Goode was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Bloomfield, the son of Blaine and Cressie (Bowling) Goode. He married Lorena Hess on Aug. 9, 1941, in Lancaster Mo.
