Clement 'Joe' Thomann

      KALONA - Clement "Joe" Thomann, 79, of Riverside died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, in his home following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Riverside. Military honors will be given by VFW Post No. 6414 and Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today in the church with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Riverside First Responders and Cluster Youth Fund. Peterseim Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mr. Thomann was born Jan. 17, 1928, in Riverside, the son of Clarence and Alma (Simon) Thomann. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Frueh at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bauer.
