Cleola G. Riley

Cleola G. Riley, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Park Place Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Weir Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Weir Funeral Home with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Hope Haven.

      Mrs. Riley was born Feb. 24, 1922, at Zimmerman, Minn., the daughter of Mane and Carrie A. Brown Wilson. She married Fain M. Riley on March 17, 1939, at Kahoka, Mo., and following his death married Paul D. Riley on Aug. 19, 1944, at Burlington. She worked at Walker?s Grocery in Mt. Pleasant, in housekeeping at Iowa Wesleyan College, and in several restaurants in Mt. Pleasant.

      Survivors include a daughter, Karen Hummell of rural Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Donald Riley of Olds and J. LeRoy Riley of Keokuk; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands; a daughter, Joyce Ann Riley; three brothers, Ronald, Darrell and Raleigh Wilson; and two sisters, Letha Branch and Desil Bachman.
