Cletus M. Striegel

      HARPER - Cletus M. Striegel, 89, of Harper, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Maplewood Manor in Keota following a brief illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper, with Rev. Marty Goetz and the Rev. Robert Striegel officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. this evening, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. Memorials have been established for St. Elizabeth Cemetery Fund and the Alzheimer's Association.

      Mr. Striegel was born Aug. 27, 1915, in Harper, to Antone C. and Mamie (Schumacher) Striegel. On April 3, 1945, he married Marjorie Hammes at in rural Harper.
