Clifford D. Brees

KEOTA ? Clifford D. Brees, 79, of Keota, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at his home.

    The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at the First Lutheran Church at 1000 Third Avenue S.E. in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Keota Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brent Brees Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is handling the arrangements.

    Mr. Brees was born March 4, 1931, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Clifford and Ruth Brees. He married Joan Jacobs on June 8, 1952, in Mount Pleasant.
