Clifford H. Thomas

      Clifford H. Thomas, 84, of Fairfield, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

      A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dave Elmore officiating. Following Mr. Thomas' wishes, his body will be cremated.

      No family visitation is planned.

      Mr. Thomas was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Bentonsport, the son of Arthur and Mary Swift Thomas. He married Josephine Messer June 24, 1949, in Iowa City.
