Clinton David Zahradnek, 46, of San Antonio, TX, passed away November 10, 2024, at the San Antonio Baptist Hospital following a long illness. He was born July 22, 1978, in Iowa City, the son of David and Debra Hobbs Zahradnek. He grew up in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1996 and attended Kirkwood Community College. Clint moved to San Antonio and worked in landscaping, and was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Steelers and loved to fish. Clint was always the life of the party and enjoyed telling stories and jokes.

Clint is survived by Jenn Barzona and son Michael Frere of San Antonio, stepmother: Colette Yoder of Kalona, uncles: Tom (Karen) Hobbs and Dean Hobbs both of West Chester; aunts: Julie Shull, Anna Yotty and Sarena Zahradnek all of Kalona; many cousins; four stepbrothers; one stepsister. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents: Earl and Nora Hobbs, Lyle (Hoot) and Phyllis Zahradnek; uncle: Ed Zahradnek; stepmother: Claudine Zahradnek; aunt: Shirley Hobbs; and cousin: Bill Hobbs.

A celebration of life will be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe page for Michael’s education has been established, or donations for Michael’s education or Wagner’s Disease Research may be sent to Jen Barzona, 10802 Wayward Drive, San Antonio, TX 78217. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is assisting the family.
