Cloyd C. Smith, 88, of Fairfield, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
Following his wishes, his body will be cremated, and a private family inurnment will be scheduled at a later date.

Mr. Smith was born March 17, 1920, in Linby, the son of Leland and Blanche Craig Smith. He married Mildred Bates Feb. 14, 1997, in Fairfield.
