Connie Holt Moon, 73 years old, of Toquerville, Utah, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2023. She was surrounded by the love of her children, Tammy Shepherd, Rob Moon, Ashley Moon and her dear friend Sandi Browse.

Connie was born April 3, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, to Mina Marie Rich Holt and Harold Wayne Holt. Connie was raised in Fairfield, Iowa. She married B. Moon on November 4, 1966 and had their daughter in 1967. They moved to San Diego, California, and had their son in 1970. Connie was a devoted mother and became a special needs teacher in San Diego. In 1979 she moved to Gunnison, Utah, where she tried a few different careers including working at the local grocery store, a feed company, and at another company building Mother boards. In 1995 she moved to St. George, Utah, to be near her children and grandchildren. She moved to Toquerville, Utah, and found her calling, becoming a supervisor at a girls’ home for troubled teens. She said that it was meant to be, and it was there she found her purpose. She so enjoyed helping the children and often said that if she made a difference in one of their lives she had succeeded. She became “employee-of-the-month” and “employee-of-the-year” several times in her career. She loved helping others.

Connie was very close to our Lord and enjoyed going to church. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting and needlepoint. Her most favorite thing was her family and spending time with her friends and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her great-grandchildren. Connie was such a beautiful soul. She was lucky enough to have friendships that lasted over 60 years. She cared about others more than herself. She loved helping others and was an angel before she actually became one. Those who knew her were so lucky. Those who were loved by her, even more. Connie was divorced but not sad. She devoted her life to her family and friends.

Connie is survived by her children Tammy Shepherd and Rob Moon; grandchildren Tawny Moon, Kenan Bulow, Ashley Moon and Talon Moon; and her brother Ronne Holt.
