Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 14, at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer. Burial will be in the McFarlan Cemetery at What Cheer. Visitation will begin at noon, Wednesday at the funeral home, with family present from 4 to 8 p.m. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the Courtney Moore Memorial Fund for her daughters? education.
Courtney Christine Moore was born April 15, 1991, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Jeffery Moore and Melissa Pool.
She was a 2009 graduate of Tri-County High School. After graduation she wasted no time finding a job. She worked at Carriker Ford, Long Horn Saloon, the KT, and most recently for Cambridge Investment Research. She was a very social person who loved being around people. As a strong, independent woman, she would not hesitate to speak her piece. She was known for her brilliant smile and for her happiness that was contagious. She enjoyed Facebook, Snapchat, shopping and hanging out with family and friends. Above all, being a mother came before anything else, and her world revolved around her two daughters. She made certain her children never went without anything they needed, even if that meant going without, herself. Anyone she considered a friend felt the unconditional love her friendship offered.
Surviving are her parents, Melissa Clarahan and husband Michael of What Cheer, and Jeffery Moore and wife Jill of Washington; two daughters, Kynsley Moore, and Bryley Garber; her grandparents, Eileen McBeth of Webster, Marvin Pool and wife Linda of Yalaha, Florida, Terri Stone of Washington, and Ray Moore and wife Peg of Stronghurst, Illinois; five sisters, Teresa Moore, Shelby Hammes, and Mckenzie Hammes, all of What Cheer, and Alexis and Jaedyn Moore of Washington; and three brothers, Jake Moore of Altoona, and Landyn and Layne Moore of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Melvin and Doris Pool, Ella Williamson, Ann Honts and Bernice Aller; and one uncle.
