Crystal Sanderson

Crystal Sanderson, 15, of Rome, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, from injuries in a car/truck accident at W55 and Old Highway 34 west of Mt. Pleasant.

The public funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 20, at Cottrell Gym in the old high school with the Rev. Jeffery Crawford of Mt. Pleasant Calvary Baptist Church and the Rev. Guy Sammons of Rome Baptist Church officiating. A private family funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Rome Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy Sammons officiating. Interment will be in Grant Cemetery, west of Rome. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends following the funeral service in the Cottrell Gym. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Miss Sanderson was born Oct. 27, 1984, in Portland, Ore., the daughter of Melody L. Sanderson. She was a freshman at the Mt. Pleasant Community Middle School, where she participated in the school choir. She was a member of the Rome Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother of Rome; one sister, Heather Sanderson of Rome; her grandparents, Jerry and Connie Bush of Mt. Pleasant, Paul and Flora Trullinger of Camas, Wash., and Richard and Jeani Sanderson of Comanche; a great-grandfather, Ira Krieger of Rome; five uncles; one aunt; one great-uncle; and one great-aunt.
