Curtis Gene Wyse

      MT. PLEASANT - Curtis Gene Wyse, 44, of rural Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at his home, following a brief illness.

      Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at Bethel Cemetery, north of Wayland. Celebration of Life services will follow at 11 a.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church with the Rev. Phil Slabaugh officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, at the church, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. that evening. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Memorials have been established for the education of Mr. Wyse's children and the Ecuador Partnership Project.

      Mr. Wyse was born on April 17, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant, to Gene and Alice (Roth) Wyse. On June 5, 1982, he married Jodi Conrad in Wayland.
