Curtis Ray 'Curt' Jensen

      Curtis Ray "Curt" Jensen, age 48, of Washington, Iowa died Wednesday January 10, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a sudden illness.

      Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, January 13th at the Washington High School Gymnasium with Pastor Harald Gruber officiating. Visitation will be held at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home beginning 9:00 am Friday. The family will be present to receive friends from 1:00 - 4:00 and from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Private family graveside services will be held at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for a scholarship in Curt's name.       Curt was born December 17, 1958 in Hampton, Iowa the son of Bill R. and Zana Sue (Singer) Jensen. He attended school in Hampton, Iowa and graduated from Hampton High School in 1977. Curt attended Waldorf College and later graduated from Luther College in 1981. In 1986, Curt graduated from Iowa State University with his teaching degree. He was united in marriage to Marsha Bruty on August 9, 1997 in Washington, Iowa.
