Cynthia Diane Gaylord Wilson, 64, of New London, died Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House, West Burlington.

She was born December 3, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, to Donald Lee and Judith Ann Miller Gaylord. Cindy was a 1978 graduate of New London High School and attended two years of college classes, receiving her Associates Degree. She married Jeffrey Allen Wilson in Burlington and they later divorced.

Cindy worked as an LPN at Great River Klein Unit in West Burlington. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid card sender, and loved to read. She was a member of the Flint Hills Church of Nazarene in Burlington for many years and served on the town council in Middletown.

Cindy is survived by her mother of New London; son, Michael Allen Wilson of Burlington; daughter, Rachael Lea Wilson of Holt, MO; grandson, Caleb Allen Wilson; step-grandchildren, Serenity and Maddy; sister Kimberly (Rollie) Fedler of West Point; brothers, Nathaniel (Teresa) Gaylord of Gardner, KS, and Steven (Angela) Gaylord of Florida; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father and twin grandsons, Michael and Steven.

Funeral services was Monday, July 31, 2023, at Elliott Chapel, New London. Reverend Ronald Jewett will officiate. According to her wishes, cremation will follow the service and private family burial will be in Blakeway Cemetery, rural Danville. Visitation was Monday, July 31, at Elliott Chapel with the family greeting friends. A memorial has been established to Flint Hills Church of Nazarene.
