D. Evelyn McNurlen
KEOTA-D. Evelyn McNurlen, 84, of Keota, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota, with the Rev. Sally Graves officiating. Burial will be in Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Keota Q.R.S.
Mrs. McNurlen was born on Jan. 20, 1919, in Hayesville, to Dick and Goldie (Walker) Kleinschmidt. On Jan. 4, 1942, she married William "Billie Joe" McNurlen in Kahoka, Mo.
