Dale 'Doggie' Emory Doggett

      Dale "Doggie" Emory Doggett, 75, of Washington, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at his home, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Masonic Lodge services will be held at 6 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County or Shrine Children's Hospital.

      Mr. Doggett was born on March 21, 1929, in Beacon, to Harold and Carolyn (Johns) Doggett. He married Phyllis Jeanne Garrett on Oct. 26, 1947, in Oskaloosa.
