Dale R. Willis

      Dale R. Willis, 76, of rural Mount Pleasant and Lockridge, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at home.

      A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Monte Knudson and the Rev. Mike Furlong officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery in Rome, Iowa, with full military honors.

      Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

      Mr. Willis was born Feb. 26, 1931, in Henry County, the son of Thomas McKinley and Lena Watson Willis. He married Patricia Millspaugh Dec. 27, 1951, in Mount Pleasant. She died in 2007.
