Dale V. Knowles

KALONA   Dale V. Knowles, 93, of Iowa City, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, in Greenwood Manor in Iowa City, due to aging.

    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at the Iowa City Church of Christ with the Rev. Tom Steele, the Rev. Gary D. Cradic, and the Rev. Richard M. Ellis officiating.  Burial will be in Frytown Cemetery in Frytown.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  Memorials may be directed to Peace on Earth Ministries in Joplin, Mo.

    Mr. Knowles was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Hubbard, the son of Victor and Elizabeth Knowles.  He married Ethel Mae ?Dearie? Wickersham-Brown on Dec. 14, 1941.
