Dale Virgil Norton

      Dale Virgil Norton, 94, of Washington, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Don Hodson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton, with military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home, with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be directed to United Methodist Church, McCreedy Home, or the American Heart Association.

      Mr. Norton was born on Dec. 11, 1909, in Lockridge, to Sherman Peter and Blanche Pearl (Eshelman) Norton. He married Viola Genevieve Pohren on May 7, 1936, in Fairfield.
