Daniel E. Jessen February 7, 1933 - February 6, 2004

Daniel Edmund Jessen, 70, of rural Farmington, died on Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at his home.

      The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at the Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, with Dr. Jim Eads officiating. Burial with full military rites by the Gillaspie-Moodie American Legion Post #474 will be at the Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 6 p.m. and family present until 8 p.m. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Julie and her husband John Panther of West Point, Lori and her husband Scott Martin of Silver Creek, Miss., Celeste and her husband Ernest Jessen-Hanson of Donnellson, and Angela and her husband Dave Olson-Jessen of Lowell; and four grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.
