Danny "Dan" Qualters Sr., 62, of Libertyville, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Jefferson County Health Center.

There will not be any service at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and mailed to Judy Qualters, 2542 Douds Road, Libertyville, IA 52567.

Dan was born April 3, 1957, in Compton, Calif., to William and Lola (Clark) Qualters. He married Judy Lucille Simmons on April 5, 2004.

Dan worked for Sonitrol for 30 years as an alarm technician. He was up on new technology and did amateur radio. Dan collected trains, guns and radios. He was a volunteer fire fighter and was a tow truck driver. Dan liked to ride motorcycles, go camping and fishing. Family came first and was the most important part of his life, along with his two dogs, Coco and Hermione and several cats.

Dan will be missed by his wife, Judy of Libertyville; his two children, Samantha (Joe) Ramirez of Cameron Park, Calif., and Danny (Alex) Qualters Jr. of Fairfield; five grandchildren, Diana Qualters, Brittney Coorpender, Joey Ramirez, Addison Qualters and Danny Qualters III; one brother, William (Kathleen) Qualters of Long Beach, Calif.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul (Susan) Lauritzen and Betty (David) Howell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lola Qualters; daughter, Lola Qualters; and sister, Becky Gowin.
