Danny Stogdill

Danny Joe Stogdill, 57, of Hawkins, Texas, and former Bloomfield resident, died Oct. 7, 2004, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Pastor Brad Davis officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield will be in Hopkins Cemetery in Davis County, west of Mark. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Beckie Irving of Albia; two stepsons, Randy Regennitter of Melrose, and Rick Regennitter of Atalissa; five grandchildren; three brothers, James Stogdill of Herrin, Ill., Norvile and Gary Stogdill, both of Nicholasville, Ky.; and four sisters, Leona Hedlund of Emerson, Ann Pickle of Mt. Pleasant, Nina Wages of Ottumwa, and Lana Harding of Nicholasville, Ky.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
