Darlyne Jaspering

      Darlyne Jaspering, 86, of Washington, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a sudden illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24 in the First Assembly of God Church in Washington with the Rev. James Cluney officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church.

      Mrs. Jaspering was born June 4, 1922 in Macomb, Ill., the daughter of John and Catherine (Duncan) Casey. She married Melvin Jaspering on March 29, 1947 in Muscatine.
