Darrell A. Gonterman

Darrell Andrew Gonterman, 22, of Kilbourn, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, at University Hospital in Iowa City from injuries suffered in an auto accident near Stockport Jan. 18.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.

Memorials have been established for the Van Buren County Jaws of Life and Stockport Fire Department and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to P.O. Box 513, Keosauqua, IA 52565.

He was born Aug. 8, 1985, in Fairfield, the son of Terry and Lori Wells Gonterman. He had attended Van Buren High School. He was employed at LISCO Corp. in Fairfield.

He is survived by his father, his mother and stepfather, Lori and Gean Phelps of Colchester, Ill., three brothers, Travis and Dustin Gonterman of Birmingham and Terry Wells of Fairfield; a sister, Denae Ward of Keosauqua; two stepbrothers, Robbie Phelps of Colchester, Ill., and Michael Phelps of Minnesota; his grandparents, Ralph and Betty Gonterman of Kilbourn and Andy and Joyce Reddick of Mt. Pleasant.

His maternal grandfather, Wayne Wells, preceded him in death.
