Darrell R. 'Hooty' Hootman

      Darrell R. "Hooty" Hootman, 58, of Mascoutah, Ill., formerly of Douds, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

      A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. The body has been cremated.

      Family visitation will follow Saturday's service at the funeral home.

      Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to Cindy Hootman at 100 George St., Mascoutah, IL 62258.

      Mr. Hootman was born Aug. 27, 1950, the son of Lester and Erma Pool Hootman. He married Cindy Brackey May 29, 1999.
