William David Good was born on March 4, 1937, in rural Missouri, the son of Forest Glen and Ruth Elizabeth (Tuley) Good. On June 2, 1984, he was united in marriage to Janet Calloway Bozarth. They resided in Denver, CO; Springfield, MO; Middletown, IA; and later settled in Winfield, IA, where they lived for the last 20 years.
Dave retired after 40 years of service as a systems electrician for Burlington Northern Railroad. After retirement, he continued working as a truck driver for Shelman Trucking and hauling grain for many local farmers. Dave enjoyed woodworking, hunting, being outdoors, and spending time visiting with family and friends. He never knew a stranger and had a rare gift for making people smile. Known for his kindness and generosity, Dave was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and lived by helping others whenever he could.
Above all else, Dave loved his family deeply. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was immensely proud of each and every one of them. He had a special bond with his grandchildren, and his joy only grew with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, who brought endless smiles to his face. He held a particularly tender love for his special-needs grandson, Dennis, who faithfully waved to him every day from the window — a moment that meant the world to Dave and one he looked forward to with a full heart. His family was his greatest pride and greatest blessing.
Dave will be deeply missed by his sister, Donna Locke of New Bloomfield, MO; his two children; son, Terry Good (Ann) of Oneida, IL; grandson, Jeff Good (Tiffany); great-granddaughter, Ava; grandson, Brian Good; son, Tony Good (Daria) of Danville; grandson, Benjamin Good (Kristy); great-grandsons, Nico, Wyatt, and Waylon; grandson, Dennis Good; granddaughter, Bridgette Boughton (Shawn); great-grandchildren, Parker, Harris, and Cate; his six stepchildren: stepson, Dennis Bozarth (Judy) of New London; grandchild, Dana Williams (Gary); great-grandchildren, Chase and Cole; stepdaughter, Deborah Habel (Robert) of Marshfield, MA; step-daughter, Laura Mullen (DeWayne) of Winfield; granddaughter, Danielle Black (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Kyler, Grady, Brycen, and Ayden; granddaughter, Alexandra Hjerleid (Gannon); great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Amelia, and Garrett; step-daughter, Becca Bozarth (Roy) of Clermont, FL; granddaughter, Nikolette Chasteen Dover (Colin); great-granddaughter, Kinsley; grandson, Troy Chasteen; stepson, Darrell Bozarth (Sandy) of Oakwood, GA; granddaughter, Megan Cory (Brian); great-grandchildren, Brendon and Brycen; grandson, Ryan Bozarth (Shelby); great-grandchildren, Jack and Frances Elizabeth; stepson, Randall Bozarth (Hiram) of Jacksonville, FL.
