David Barr McCartney
NORTH ENGLISH - David Barr McCartney, 87, of North English, and formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City form complications of burns suffered in a brush fire on his farm in Iowa County.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Community Church on F52 Trail, west of Millersburg, with the Rev. Jack Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English. A memorial fund has been established for youth camp scholarships.
