David Denning

David Anthony Denning, 49, a lifetime resident of Houghton, died at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at his home after a long battle with cancer.

      The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton, with Fr. Gary Beckman as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Houghton.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the St. John's Catholic Church, with the family present from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a wake service at 7 p.m.

      A memorial has been established to Hunt of A Lifetime, a program which funds trips for terminally ill children, and H2O (Help to Others).

      Born June 1, 1956, at Ft. Madison, he was the son of James and Eileen Stenger Denning. On June 4, 1977
