David Jones Harlan, 79, of Euless, Texas, formerly of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Euless, Texas.

David was born May 28, 1942, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Betty Jones Harlan and Laverne Watson Harlan. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1960. He retired after 39 years as director of technical support for BNSF Railroad in 2001.

Surviving is his partner of 15 years, Elmain Quintana. They were married in Mexico City in February 2014 and in Tarrant County, Texas, in April 2018.

David was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.

There will be no funeral service and the body has been cremated, per his wishes. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.s
