KEOTA ? David ?Moto? Jaeger, 59, of Keota, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at his home.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 6, at Holy Trinity Parish ? St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Keota with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the church, with wake service at 3:30 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Washington County Hospice, Keota Fire Department or Keota QRS. Powell Funeral Home in Keota is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jaeger was born March 26, 1958, in Washington, the son of Kenneth and Genevieve (Peiffer) Jaeger. He married Barb Miller on Aug. 27, 1993, at their farm outside of Keota.
He graduated from Keota High School in 1976. He lived in the Keota area his whole life. He was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed watching and participating in tractor pulling, golf, spending time with his family and friends, watching all sports, especially the Broncos, and playing six-handed pepper at the Roost with friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Surviving are his wife, Barb, of Keota; two daughters, Alexandra Vorba and husband Craig of North Liberty, and Courtney Jaeger of Washington; one granddaughter; his mother, Genny Jaeger of Keota; six siblings, Linda Lillig of Omaha, Nebraska, Karyl Miller and husband Del of West Branch, Cynthia Partridge and husband Steve of Norwalk, Colleen Robertson and husband Kim of Dunlap, Illinois, Doug Jaeger of Keota, and Jerome Jaeger and wife Katherine of South English; one sister-in-law, Becky Jaeger of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews, whom he adored.
He was preceded in death by his father, in 2006; one brother, Ambrose Jaeger; and one brother-in-law, Michael Lillig.
