David Lee Rader

      David Lee Rader, 64, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      An informal memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Elliott Chapel in New London. Rader's ashes will be interred at New London's Burge Cemetery.

      The son of Joseph and Sarah (Richmond) Rader, he was born June 27, 1943, in Kansas City, Kan. He married Cherie Bardon, but the two later divorced.

      He attended school in Missouri and Iowa, completing high school and working as a salesman and auctioneer. His employers included Culligan and KILJ radio in Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed fishing, music, karaoke, singing, dancing, and being with friends.

      Survivors include two daughters, Lenea Doyle of Sedalia, Mo. and Sarah Rader of Springfield, Mo.; one son, Noah Rader of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Sherry Dietrcick of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, James Alan Rader of Forsythe, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Maynard Miller, stepsister and stepbrother.
