David R. Ballou

MOUNT PLEASANT - David R. Ballou, 71, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in the Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mount Pleasant.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Jeffrey A. McPheron of the Trenton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, with a graveside flag presentation conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Health Center Dialysis Unit.

      Mr. Ballou was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Independence, the son of Howard L. and Helen (Richards) Ballou. He married Ruby Bernice Thomas Hamilton on March 14, 1959 in Burlington. She died Jan. 20, 2002 in Fairfield.
