David W. Austin October 4, 1965 - April 16, 2004

David William Austin, 39, of West Burlington, died at 4:30 p.m. on April 16, 2004, near Gulfport, Ill.

      The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Terry Terrell officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 at the chapel. The family will not be present. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sonia York of Burlington, and Tonia Simpson of Tennessee; a son, Scott Simpson of Burlington; two grandchildren; his parents; a sister, Shelly Garcia of Irving, Texas, and Bradley Austin of Irving.

      He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
