David Allen Woodson, 52 of Brighton, died, Saturday, June 29, 2019.

Services have been set for 4:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation with begin at Noon Saturday at the church. Beatty Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. His body will be cremated and interred at New Hope Cemetery in New Hope, MO. A general memorial in the name of David Allen Woodson has been established.

David Allen Woodson was born August 8, 1966, the son of Jack and (Dollie (Hunter) Jondle) Woodson. David worked for Pro Platinum construction and Remodeling in North Liberty. He lived around the Brighton area most of his life and enjoyed fishing, kayaking, the outdoors, and camping.

David is survived by his significant other Tonya Myers of Brighton, 7 siblings; Charles Woodson of Centerville, IA, Dorothy Shelman of Muscatine, IA, Leonard (Sylvia) Woodson of Brush, CO, Elizabeth Woodson of Lebanon, MO, Sharon Harrison of Muscatine, IA, George (Shannon) Woodson of Centerville, IA, and Jacqueline Moss of Salem, MO,; step father Larry Jondle of Brush, CO; step brother Mike Jondle of Iowa City, IA; special nieces, Nettie Woodson of Richland and Amanda Pickering of Washington, IA; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, a stillborn Bobbie Jo Woodson and 3 siblings; Jack A. Woodson, Lonnie Woodson, Charlotte Eickler, and grandchild Dylan.
